DHL Express is committed to providing our customers with the best delivery network, which is why we are continuing to offer coverage to remote areas across the world.

Effective 1 October 2003, a Remote Area Component will be charged each time a shipment is delivered to or picked up from a remote area, whether in New Zealand or in one of the 220 countries and territories covered by DHL globally.
For shipments with remote origin or destination within New Zealand, for example:

• sent from remote areas within New Zealand
• imported into remote areas within New Zealand

= a Remote Area Component of NZD 0.20 per kg, with a minimum of NZD 10.00 per shipment will be charged

For shipments with remote origin or destination outside of New Zealand, for example:

• sent from New Zealand to remote areas worldwide
• imported into New Zealand from remote areas worldwide

= a Remote Area Component of NZD 0.50 per kg, with a minimum of NZD 25.00 per shipment will be charged
